Documents issued in one country rarely work in another without attestation — and the attestation chain depends entirely on what the document is, where it was issued, and where it needs to be used. A degree certificate for a UAE work visa follows one path; a commercial power of attorney follows another.

We handle both directions: foreign documents being legalised for use in the UAE, and UAE documents heading abroad. Certified legal translation, MOFA attestation, embassy legalisation — we map the exact chain your document needs and run it end to end.

Why Attestation Is More Complicated Than It Looks

Attestation exists because a document issued by one country's authority means nothing to another country's system until it's been verified through a recognised chain. A university degree from India, a marriage certificate from the UK, a commercial contract from Germany, none of them are automatically accepted by UAE authorities. They have to be authenticated, step by step, by the right offices in the right order.

The chain depends entirely on the document's origin and purpose. A foreign document for use in the UAE typically needs attestation in the country of origin first, then by that country's UAE embassy, then by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A UAE document heading abroad runs the reverse path. Educational documents sometimes need an additional layer of verification from the issuing institution. Get the order wrong and the document gets rejected at the final step, after you've already paid for the earlier ones.

Certified translation adds another requirement. UAE authorities generally require legal documents in Arabic, translated by a licensed legal translator, not just any bilingual person. We handle both the translation and the full attestation chain, mapping the exact sequence your specific document needs before we start, so you're not paying for steps in the wrong order.

FAQ

Common questions

What documents can you attest?

Educational certificates, marriage certificates, commercial documents, and legal papers, among others. Tell us your document type and we'll confirm the process and timeline.

How long does certificate attestation take?

Depends on the document type and how many authorities are in the attestation chain. Simple single-authority attestations can be faster than multi-country chains. We'll estimate once we see your document.

Do you handle attestation for documents issued outside the UAE?

Yes, we handle both UAE-issued documents needing attestation for use abroad, and foreign documents needing attestation for use in the UAE.
